The Use of Digital Elevation Model in A GIS For Flood Vulnerability: Case Study of Sitiarjo Village Malang District East Java Indonesia

Abstract The purpose of this research is the use a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) was used in conjunction with Geographic Information System to compute morphometric factors influencing flooding vulnerability. These causal were subjected weighted overlay analysis order categorize areas based on their location Sitiarjo Village Malang District East Java Indonesia. flood disaster that most harmed community village occurred 1983, 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013 and 2017. crossed by two major rivers, namely Panguluran river Mbambang which meet at southern part village.. results showed vulnerability sitiarjo has high level center (flood plain fluvial landforms). greatest hazard bottom confluence Pangluran Mambang rivers Rowo Terate Sub Village.
